AUSTIN SUGGESTS
Hey everyone, its Austin from the pot shop! If you don’t know me I’ve been a budtender for this company going on 2 years now. I’ve accrued vast amounts of cannabis knowledge over the years as a stoner and introducing myself to this job has only amplified that, since the introduction is out of the way I want to get to the point of this post! I’ve been smoking on a lot of interesting stuff that’s been coming through the shop recently and I figured I would share my list of new favorites with you!
On the bright side (Sativa):
Sativa’s are scarce, and not because you can’t find them but because farms tend to lean towards strains that DONT take a whole 14 weeks to flower and because true sativa’s tend to have a longer flowering time, most don’t grow them but instead hybrid variants. I’ve been loving the Headband from doghouse its a good staple in our house and provides a consistency amongst the shelves, it within itself is more hybrid leaning but is sativa dominant in the way doghouse does their harvest allowing for not such a sedative Headband and more uplifting via trichome maturity. Another favorite of mine right now would be the Peoples Diesel from The Peoples Garden a truly craft quality diesel variant that will guarantee to satisfy your day time craving!
In the middle (Hybrid):
The king of the middleground for us right now would have to be No Mids, it ain’t no mids, just top shelf. If you want something that won’t make you too tired nor anything that will introduce more anxiety that you may be trying to avoid, just some overall great mid day/afternoon smoke, No Mids has your butt covered with a wide variety of super hybrids. Have fun tracing back those genetics! That’s part of the fun with it though and it delivers beyond exceptional taste and quality, my favorite would have to be the Miami Madness a blissful cross between the strains Miami Miami and Udder Madness. A long time hybrid king recently dethroned in our store in popularity comparatively is Mama J’s. They might not hold that crown in here at this very second but they TOO have some KILLER hybrids in the works, the one I’m digging the absolute most right now is the Sunset MAC which is a delectable cross of two very popular strains here in the US called Sunset Sherbet (One of the parents to the notorious Gelato) and M-iracle.A-lien.C-ookies. I’m not done yet though! I have one more for you to check out and you can venture by yourself to make up your own mind! The Chimera from Lifted, it so wonderfully brings together White Truffle with an unknown pheno monster called The Creature (Unknown genetic background), I never knew I needed to try this. Until I did.
Moon watching & Stargazing (Indica):
Our ultimate offering of sticky, terpy and FUNKY flower comes from my favorite consistent staple that we carry known as Mother Earth Farms.
They have a wide variety of indicas readily available but my all time favorite from them is the Gelato #25 x Dosido cross until they can manage to cross Alien OG with Donkey Butter but thats another story…
Ice Cream Cake from this new farm we just got in called HERBA is a perfect night time smoke!! It combines two extremely well known strains in the industry to formulate an indica from the heavens, crossing Gelato #33 with Wedding Cake you get a creamy earthy funk like none other that sure to satisfy both mind and taste buds.
